Cricket fans in Dehradun have plenty to look forward to as the inaugural Dehradun T20 League 2026 is set to take place from September 2 to 9 at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy. Approved by the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU), the league aims to provide a professional platform for emerging cricketers from across the state.
The tournament will feature 18 matches, including 15 league-stage games, two semi-finals, and the grand finale. Fans across India will also be able to catch all the action live on FanCode.
Interest in the league has been strong, with 650 players registering for the official Player Draft and more than 350 cricketers participating in the selection trials held in Dehradun. The shortlisted players will now be drafted into one of the six franchise teams: Rishikesh Dragons, Doiwala Kings, Mussoorie Thunder, Herbertpur Knightriders, Vikasnagar Dhamaka, and Selaqui Strikers.
Organisers say the Dehradun T20 League is designed to identify and nurture local cricketing talent while offering young players valuable exposure in a competitive franchise format. With exciting matchups, enthusiastic local support, and live nationwide coverage, the tournament is expected to become a major addition to Uttarakhand's sporting calendar.
