As consumers increasingly seek handcrafted and sustainable fashion, Dehradun is set to host a unique celebration of India's textile heritage this June. Sankalp Bandhej's Grand Bandhani Exhibition will bring centuries-old craftsmanship from Gujarat to the heart of Uttarakhand, offering visitors a rare opportunity to explore authentic Bandhani and Patola creations under one roof.

The three-day exhibition, scheduled from June 21 to June 23 at Hotel Aketa, will showcase an extensive collection of signature Bandhani sarees, elegant dupattas, dress and suit materials, traditional Chaniya Cholis, contemporary fusion wear, and authentic single and double ikkat Patolas.

Bandhani, one of India's oldest tie-dye textile arts, is renowned for its intricate patterns and vibrant colours, while Patola weaves are considered among the country's most prestigious handcrafted textiles. Each piece reflects generations of artistry and cultural tradition, making these garments more than just fashion statements—they are wearable works of art.

For Dehradun residents, the exhibition offers an opportunity to discover handcrafted ethnic wear directly from artisans and textile specialists without travelling to Gujarat's famous weaving centres. With wedding season, festive celebrations, and special occasions throughout the year, visitors can explore timeless pieces that blend tradition with contemporary style.

The Grand Bandhani Exhibition will be open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on all three days, making it a must-visit destination for saree enthusiasts, fashion lovers, collectors of traditional textiles, and anyone interested in India's rich handloom heritage.
