Art is the best way to find yourself and get lost at the same time. If you are into art or have an appreciation for it, a free art exhibition named Kala Sangam is being organized at the Uttara Art Gallery of Dehradun till May 4.
At Kala Sangam, apart from artists from Uttarakhand, you will be see to see the skills of painters from ten states including Maharashtra, Haryana and Uttarakhand on the walls of the art gallery. Oil painting, fusion art, canvas painting, watercolour painting and pen sketch art, there is a mix of everything at the exhibition.
For anyone who wants to hone their artistic skills, the exhibition is not just to see artwork but also to learn painting techniques at the workshops being organized by different artists. Kala Sangam also proudly displays paintings related to Uttarakhand’s culture, be it musical instruments or the beauty of nature.
Apart from paintings of popular artists like Kulwinder, who is also conducting workshops at the exhibition, work of many college students of Dehradun is also being displayed. Organizer of Kala Sangam, Rahul Kumar told a news channel that the event is being jointly organized by A Soul Art Foundation, Rangayan Bharti and Kala Giri. He further shed light on the type of paintings that will be seen in the exhibition like Dhol-Damau, Nanda Rajjat Yatra, Doli of Goda, Mahakumbh and Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand.
Not only will a visit to the Kala Sangam exhibition be an enriching experience but also give an artist’s perspective on looking at ordinary things in life. It is must visit!
