The initiatives were inaugurated by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who said the objective is to bridge the gap between scientific research and the public by making scientific knowledge accessible to people, especially those living in remote and mountainous regions of the state. He noted that the platforms will help take complex scientific information from laboratories to the last mile, encouraging greater public awareness and participation in science.

During the event, the Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of the under-construction Science City project in Dehradun and participated in a symposium on the Science, Technology and Innovation Policy (STIP). He reaffirmed the state's commitment to transforming Uttarakhand into a hub for science, technology and research.

Highlighting the vision behind the state's innovation policy, Dhami said the government aims to create a self-reliant ecosystem where young people become job creators through innovation rather than job seekers. The launch of Vigyan Vani and the accompanying initiatives marks another step towards strengthening scientific awareness, innovation and research across Uttarakhand.
