Towards a smarter Dehradun: Two EV charging stations unveiled, among 74 new urban initiatives

Addressing social and administrative needs, three rescue and rehabilitation vehicles have also been introduced in the city to help children in need.

In efforts to make the city smarter and more efficient, 74 development projects worth ₹188.07 crore were unveiled by the chief minister in Dehradun on Sunday. These include 36 completed initiatives costing ₹111.22 crore and 38 new projects, for which foundation stones were laid, budgeted at ₹76.85 crore.

As part of these urban enhancements, electric vehicle charging stations were inaugurated at four locations in Dehradun, along with disclosed plans for two automated parking facilities and one surface parking lot, with a total budget of ₹11 crore.

Addressing social and administrative needs, three rescue and rehabilitation vehicles were introduced to support underprivileged children and steer them from beggary. A letter management desk has also been set up to streamline administrative tasks.

The projects aim at improving the overall quality of life of the residents of Dehradun.
