Students in Dehradun and across Uttarakhand preparing for competitive examinations will soon have access to free online coaching under a new state government initiative.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the Chief Minister Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana-2026, aimed at making quality exam preparation more accessible to students pursuing higher education. The scheme will cover students studying at universities, government colleges and government-aided colleges in the state.

The programme is expected to support preparation for a range of competitive examinations. Earlier information from the state indicates plans for online coaching covering civil services, SSC, railway recruitment and banking examinations, with thousands of students expected to benefit.

For students in Dehradun, where competitive exam preparation is a major part of the higher-education ecosystem, the online format could make coaching more accessible without requiring students to pay for private coaching or travel for classes.

The Higher Education Department of Uttarakhand has already issued a tender related to the scheme, indicating that work on implementing the programme is underway.

The initiative is part of the state's broader effort to expand opportunities for young people and make competitive-exam preparation more accessible, particularly for students who may find private coaching difficult to afford.
