On October 17, 2025, Dehradun is all set to witness the Uttarakhand AI Impact Summit 2025, serving as a precursor to the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 scheduled for February 19–20, 2026, in New Delhi.
This one-day event, organized by the Government of Uttarakhand in collaboration with the India AI Mission and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), aims to explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in fostering inclusive and sustainable development.
Anchored in the nation's vision of "AI for All," the summit seeks to harness AI for social inclusion, innovation, and enhanced public service delivery. The event will delve into how AI can advance Uttarakhand's Digital Uttarakhand vision by fostering innovation, improving governance, and empowering entrepreneurship through responsible and inclusive AI adoption.
The India–AI Impact Summit 2026, to be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, is poised to be the first global AI forum hosted in the Global South.
Union Minister of State Jitin Prasada will inaugurate the summit, joined by senior officials from MeitY and the Government of Uttarakhand. The gathering will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, startups, and academia to discuss the role of AI in promoting sustainable development under Uttarakhand's Digital Uttarakhand vision and to further responsible and inclusive AI adoption.
