Honorable President Draupadi Murmu is all set to visit Uttarakhand’s Dehradun from June 19-21 and lead the International Yoga Day 2025 celebrations from there. Many projects in the state will also be inaugurated by her.

On June 19, the President will inaugurate an amphitheater and lay foundation stones for staff quarters, stables and barracks at Rashtrapati Niketan. On June 20, she will be present at the opening of Rashtrapati Niketan for public visit and inaugurate public amenities including the visitor facilitation center.

Both Rashtrapati Niketan and Rashtrapati Tapovan will be open for public from June 24. The President will also visit the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities in Dehradun and release a postage stamp on the Raj Bhavan, Nainital on the completion of its 125 years.

On International Yoga Day which is on June 21, the President will take part in a mass yoga demonstration at the Uttarakhand State Police Line Maidan, Dehradun.

International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on June 21 to highlight yoga’s vital role in promoting holistic wellbeing and environmental harmony. This year, the theme of the day is ‘Yoga For One Earth, One Health.’

Apart from the President’s visit to Dehradun on this day, many yoga events are taking place in the city that are a must attend!
