In yet another extraordinary narrative of hope and transformation, Dehradun's Aasra Trust continues to inspire and awe. In an ongoing effort to uplift the underprivileged, this NGO has been making strides in providing education to those who cannot afford it.

The main objective of Aasra Trust is to educate and empower children through education and vocational training, in turn, ensuring that the needy have the tools to build a better future.

Offering stability & security: Aasra

For children who can’t access regular schooling, Aasra offers a special programme, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) that gives the kids a chance to continue learning at their own pace. While for the young adults, the trust equips them with practical skills like sewing and block printing to help secure employment for them.

From teaching basic literacy and helping children join formal schools or alternative education programmes, to their centres offering nutritional support, medical care, and hostel stays, Aasra provides a complete safety net for those in need.
