Uttarakhand is stepping up its focus on youth employment, education and entrepreneurship, with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announcing a proposed Yuva Aayog to address issues related to jobs and education. The commission is expected to provide a dedicated platform for youth concerns and help shape policies around employment, skills and education.

The government will also establish special industrial parks in Chamoli, Pauri and Almora to boost local economic activity and create employment. Additional assistance will be provided to youth from border villages, ex-servicemen and Agniveers interested in starting self-employment ventures.

For young entrepreneurs, the state will launch the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Evam Udyamita Protsahan Yojana for people aged 18 to 30. The scheme will offer free entrepreneurship and skill training in collaboration with institutions such as IITs and IIMs, along with a grant equivalent to 30% of the bank loan taken to establish an enterprise.

For Dehradun’s students and job aspirants, the announcements add to Uttarakhand’s wider push for youth development, including plans for free online coaching for competitive examinations. Together, the initiatives signal a stronger focus on making young people job-ready, supporting entrepreneurship and creating more opportunities within the state.
