The Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj is all set to begin from January 13 in all its glory and Dehradun is stepping up to ensure a seamless journey for pilgrims. Starting today, Friday, these buses will connect Doon to Prayagraj via Haridwar and Lucknow-Rae Bareli.
The buses, to ply daily from Dehradun ISBT, will include an ordinary one and a super deluxe volvo bus respectively. The first one will depart at 10 AM, will charge a fare of ₹1,160 per passenger for a 18-19 hour journey.
On the other hand, the super deluxe volvo bus is scheduled to depart at 5 PM daily, with a fare of ₹2,279 per passenger for a 16-hour journey. Both the buses are slated to take travellers through scenic routes, with stops in Haridwar.
Celebrated once in a span of 12 years, the Maha Kumbh Mela is a grand religious and spiritual gathering. This year alone, the event is expected to witness a huge gathering of devotees converging at Prayagraj’s Triveni Sangam.
