As Uttarakhand turns 25 this November, the hill state is all set to celebrate its Silver Jubilee with a grand series of events, cultural showcases, and development-oriented initiatives. The celebrations have begun from 1st November and will continue till 11th November 2025, commemorating the state’s journey since its formation on 9th November 2000 — a journey marked by resilience, reform, and rapid transformation.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has described the 25th Foundation Day as a moment for both reflection and renewal, emphasizing that this milestone is not only about looking back but also charting a roadmap for the next 25 years.
Special Assembly Session in Dehradun:
A special two-day session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly will be held on 3rd and 4th November 2025 to mark the occasion. The session will focus on reviewing the state’s achievements, honouring the heroes of the statehood movement, and outlining policy priorities for the next phase of development.
In Dehradun, the main state function on 9th November will feature a grand cultural evening, fireworks, and performances representing Uttarakhand’s Garhwal and Kumaon regions. Citizens will also be encouraged to participate through digital platforms under the theme “Uttarakhand@25: The Journey Ahead.”
